Board of Directors

Non-Executive Chairman – ANTOINE MASSAD.

Mr Massad has over 35 years’ diverse experience in financial services and the investment industry having previously held the role of CEO Asia & Middle East at Man Group PLC, one of the largest publicly traded hedge funds in the world, for over 20 years. Antoine then acted as Chairman of the Wealth Management Advisory Council of the Dubai International Financial Centre (“DIFC”), for 3 years, and subsequent similar positions at MAF Group and Union Bancaire Privee. Antoine also serves as the Non Executive Chairman of Qashio LLC, MENA’s first Expense Management Solutions offering for SMEs & Enterprises. He is also an active player in the Venture Capital space both as a GP and as an LP.

Managing Director & CEO – PAUL ROY.

Paul Roy is a serial entrepreneur and 20-year veteran in the media and entertainment industry. He founded Riva Technology and Entertainment which established a global presence stretching from the USA to East Asia, capturing gaming and fan engagement’s industry key functions, from game concepts, development, monetisation, Esports, distribution and analytics, through the investment in several complementary Esports and gaming businesses.

Paul led the creation and execution of most of the major theme parks in Dubai including IMG Worlds of Adventure, Motiongate and Bollywood Park at Dubai Parks and Resorts and Hub Zero. He also pioneered the video game industry in the Middle East and built the first game development studio in the region 20 years ago, which produced the first ever PC game from the Arabic speaking world.

In 2019 Paul established Galaxy Racer, one of the largest esports, gaming and lifestyle organizations in the world. Galaxy Racer’s 5 key pillars are – Content Creators, Esports Teams, Tournament Management, GXR Limited (Merchandising and Lifestyle) and GXR Records. Galaxy Racer provides content creators with brand endorsement deals, streaming contracts, creator collaborations, digital rights management, monetization, online and offline event opportunities, social media management and content programming.

Paul was appointed to the Board following the Company’s acquisition of Riva Technology and Entertainment Ltd in February 2022.

Executive Director and Company Secretary – MARK CLEMENTS.

Mr Clements has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mr Clements has held the position of company secretary and director of a number of publicly ASX listed companies. Mr Clements has experience in corporate governance, finance, accounting and administration, capital raising and ASX compliance and regulatory requirements.

Mark was appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Director in January 2016 and then became Executive Director in February 2022.

Non-Executive Director – CHRIS JONES.

Mr Jones has over a decade’s experience in the Australian finance industry working for wholesale investment funds and broking houses, most recently becoming a partner at Emerald Capital Australia Pty Limited (ECA). Mr Jones has a large breadth of expertise in corporate finance, capital raising, funds management and has through his role as Investment manager formed close working relationships with fund managers around the globe.

Chris was appointed to the Board in November 2018.

RTE MANAGEMENT TEAM

GENERAL COUNSEL – JAMES CARTER.

James is an English law qualified solicitor with extensive international and cross border experience in corporate M&A (both public and private), fundraising and general commercial transactions across a variety of sectors and industries. James has worked for leading real estate, technology and industrial conglomerates in the GCC region.

His private practice experience was gained in London and Dubai whilst working for a leading international law firm. James has been working alongside the Galaxy Racer senior management team since March 2021.
